   The family quickly devoured it, but I was expecting something more like the Eastern European nut rolls and poppyseed rolls. There’s only one place here in the Raleigh area that makes what I am used to from the NJ ethnic community style of baking. His problem is that he bakes them until they’re blackened on the bottom and dried out.
